Joshua Geci
Hi, I’m Josh Geci — Director of the Media Cats, UC Merced’s creative team under Enrollment Management. I work with an amazing group of student creators to tell stories through photography, video, and social content that showcase campus life. Before UC Merced, I freelanced globally with brands and organizations like Adidas, World Lacrosse, Major League Pickleball, Stanford, and Arizona State. I graduated from TCU’s Neeley School of Business with a degree in Marketing, and outside of work, I enjoy exploring California, cooking, and creative passion projects.

Shayan Khan
Hi! I’m a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Merced. As a Media Cat, I create multimedia content that highlights campus events, student life, and the UC Merced experience. Outside of Media Cats, I work on engineering projects with UC Merced’s SAE and AIAA teams, including the university’s first all-electric racecar and a student-built rocket. You might also spot me riding my motorcycle around campus!

Hey! I’m a third-year transfer student double-majoring in Sociology and Cognitive Science. As a Media Cat, I create graphics and visual content that showcase UC Merced’s events and student life. Moving from the Bay Area to Merced was a big change, but I’ve grown to appreciate the calm environment and community here. Outside of design, I enjoy crafts, music, and spending time outdoors.

Hey Bobcats! I’m a first-year Communications and Media major. As a Media Cat content creator, I make videos that highlight campus events, clubs, and student life at UC Merced. There’s always something exciting happening on campus. Outside of Media Cats, I enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and competing with the women’s volleyball team.

I love exploring creative ideas through content creation and graphic design. In my free time, I enjoy baking and spending time with family and friends.

Hello! I’m a second-year Computer Science and Engineering student at UC Merced. As the Web Content Designer, I work with Enrollment Management and the Media Cats to keep university web pages clean, updated, and visually engaging. I focus on layout and content to make sure everything looks polished and organized. In my free time, I enjoy playing drums, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
