Marketing Communications for Enrollment Management (MCEM) provides services to help support the recruitment, retention, and success of students at UC Merced. We would be happy to assist you with any projects that fall under the guidelines and services we offer.

Project Timeline
Once we begin production on your project, it's important that you are available to respond to all questions and/or approve proofs in order to keep the project on schedule.
Notes about project delivery and timetables:

Advance Notice: As a general guideline, all project requests should be submitted at least two to four weeks prior to your requested deadline.

Client Meetings: Prior to starting any project, there will be a mandatory client meeting to discuss the details of your project with a member of the MCEM team.
- Project Scope: The time it takes to complete your request will depend on a number of factors, including the complexity of the project, and your availability to answer questions, approve proofs and adhere to printing timelines.
We may levy a service charge of $25 per hour for departments outside of Enrollment Management.
If applicable to your request, a written quote for services will be provided.

Graphic Design
Graphic design services for the creation of marketing/promotional materials for print and the web.* (Services not offered for student groups.)
- Design flyers, handouts, postcards, web graphics, and posters
- Gather quotes and cost estimates from printing vendors and oversee the print process
* Printing costs and/or advertising costs are not included.

Photography and Videography
Photography and videography services for a variety of needs.
- Event photography and videography

Website Support
Website design guidance is based on content (text, photos, logos, etc.) that you provide.*
- Provide website design strategy,
- guidance and feedback
- Update content on a UC Merced subpage website (e.g. admissions.ucmerced.edu)
* At this time, website support will be provided exclusively for departments within Enrollment Management.
Writing and Editing
- Proofread final drafts of design and print projects
- Provide consultations to create more marketing-driven written content (web copy, email copy, etc.)
Email Outreach
- We can deliver important and relevant messages to prospective students, applicants, and admitted students.*
- Create communication plans
- Write email marketing messages to promote academic programs, student services, and events, or relevant University news
* All requested communications are subject to approval from the Office of Admissions and the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management.
